Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair (Album Version)

$6.99

Appalachian Folk Tune with Scottish roots • Collected by Cecil Sharp (1916) Original arrangement by Robin Gillette • Adapted by Kathryn Lillich

Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair is the second of the cross-over tunes on the album. This one has its roots in Scotland, but like Fair and Tender Ladies was recorded in many versions by Cecil Sharp on one of his tours of the Appalachian mountains. I'm grateful to be able to publish this arrangement, originally penned by my aunt Robin Gillette.

Level: Intermediate

Key: C minor (3 flats)

Chords: Yes

Fingering: None
