Harp & Voice Lessons
Online & In person
San Diego, CA
As a child I was told I’d “never be any good at piano,” but I “might” be able to do something with my voice “if I really worked at it.”
What teachers say affects students for the rest of their lives. That’s why I work so hard to protect the relationship my students have with their music. I want music to be your best friend. I never want it to feel like a burden, or become just another thing on your “to-do” list. Music shouldn’t be like that. Music should be the place where you come to drown your sorrows, celebrate your accomplishments, explore your creativity, and ponder in your soul how something so wonderful came into existence. It should be a place where you can find a little rest in this life, and from which you can gaze into eternity.
So if you’ve been told you’ll never be “any good” at singing, harp, or music in general, you’re in the right place.
Because whoever told you that was wrong.
And I want to help you prove it.

Harp Lessons
The harp is the national symbol of Ireland. Irish mythology tells tales of a magical instrument that could lull to sleep, inspire to dance, and comfort the sorrows of all who heard it. It has long been an instrument of kings, traveling bards, and selkies of the sea. Here you'll learn The Arts of Harping, a traditional Irish method that involves both playing and singing! Don't worry if you don't feel like a singer -- in this tradition, the teacher sings and plays with the student throughout the lesson to help develop musicianship and confidence.
Voice Lessons
I offer lessons in any genre, but my specialties are opera, solo classical repertoire and ensemble (choral) singing. In all genres you’ll learn how to reduce tension, increase your stamina, increase your vocal range, improve your breath support, and develop techniques to maintain your vocal health so you can sing with ease for the rest of your life.
